G-TAMS History

G-TAMS was built in 1967 in the United States at the Beechcraft production facility.

She was one of only 4366 Musketeers built during the production run from 1963 to 1983 when the model was superceded by the sundowner. Specifically, G-TAMS is only one of 369 Super III variants ever built - It was the most powerful model of the series containing a 200HP engine and a CS propeller.

Once built, she was transported to Denmark where she would become OY-DKF. She lived a quiet and peaceful life in Denmark until the turn of the century.

OY-DKF was purchased by an English couple who transported her to the UK where she was then registered with the CAA as G-TAMS.

In that time she has had one internal refit, 3 new sets of avionics and has been resprayed 5 times.

On the UK register, there are Currently 9 Musketeers and only one other Super III variant (based up at Fenland).

As she appraches her 50th birthday, we thought it would be nice to reflect on her life so far and the many different paint schemes she has acquired over the years.
